Primary Function: Oversees and administers all the functions of St. Elizabeth Catholic Charities New Albany
Position Content
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND REGULAR ACTIVITIES
- Work closely with the Agency Council to achieve the mission of Catholic Charities
- Provide leadership and oversight to existing programs, services and activities to ensure that program objectives are met in a fiscally responsible manner
- Serve as chief spokesperson for the agency, providing strong leadership and representation of the agency to constituencies including Advisory Council, staff, donors and prospects, government, funders and the community, so as to enhance the public profile of the agency
- Communicate with deanery parish pastoral leadership as needed
- Identify emerging areas of need in the service community. Envision and recommend new, fundable programs and services to the Agency Council and Secretary for Catholic Charities.
- Work with the Agency Council to prioritize needs and continue to develop a strategic plan.
- Provide motivation, leadership, direction, and oversight to agency staff in a manner that is collaborative and supportive
- Nurture positive relationships with state and local governments to effectively advocate for the needs of children and families, and successfully negotiate adequate funding of services
- Ensure fiscal accountability of programs and services; lead the agency in utilization of financial resources to strengthen its internal structure and service delivery
- Work in collaboration with the agency development director on the fundraising efforts of the agency. Develop relationships with donors, oversee grant proposals and applications. Work with the Advisory Council on the development and implementation of development / fund raising events
- Continue to develop quality improvement tracking measures that will support quality service delivery. Work with the Social Services Director to drive a continuous improvement cultural throughout the agency utilizing the PQI process.
- Oversee personnel and personnel issues, including salaries, benefits, and staff selection
- Provide staff forum for intra-agency communication, e.g., staff and departmental meeting
- Assists and approves the development of the annual agency budget.
- Other duties as assigned by the Secretary for Catholic Charities
Position Specifications/Requirements
Skills, Knowledge, and/or Abilities
- Agency Director shall be Roman Catholic in good standing with the Church with a deep appreciation for the Church’s social teaching and its relevance to agency mission
- Leadership experience in a direct-service organization
- Strong sense of vision. Demonstrated ability to communicate vision to inspire and motivate others
- Enthusiasm and skills necessary to actively participate in funding development activities
- Ability to think creatively and make strategic decisions
- Confident, open leadership and management style that promotes teamwork and accountability
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Inspirational leadership ability, sincerity and ability to build trust and consensus
Education, Training, and Experience
- Licensed MSW, or graduate degree in related field – or commensurate experience
- Understanding of budgets and fiscal management
- Minimum of five years’ management experience, including program management
- Community relations experience
- Development experience desired
- Experience with social services is a plus
- Assess for risk and risk prevention
Working Environment
- May need to work some evenings and weekends
- Need to work with a variety of organizations, including the media, community organizations, etc.
- Intra-state travel required
- There is access to confidential information that must be safeguarded

Job Description:
Kentucky Trauma Therapists (KTT), a growing trauma-focused therapy practice recently expanded to Louisville, Kentucky, is seeking compassionate and motivated clinicians to join our team. This opportunity is ideal for recent graduates and emerging professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality, trauma-informed care.
Clinicians will provide individual therapy services using evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches to a diverse client population. Our practice is committed to providing inclusive, client-centered services that meet the needs of individuals from a variety of backgrounds and experiences.
KTT is dedicated to supporting professional growth and offers additional training opportunities, including covering the cost of EMDR training for clinicians interested in certification.
Position Type:
Full-time (approximately 25 client sessions per week)
Part-time (approximately 12 client sessions per week)
Eligibility Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
- Currently holding Kentucky clinical licensure (CSW, LCSW, LPCA, LPCC, or LCADC)
- Previous experience or training in trauma-informed care
- Ability to maintain a consistent caseload
- Maintain active state licensure and professional liability insurance
- Ability to participate in supervision if required
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical and Administrative:
- Provide trauma-informed therapy services
- Maintain assigned caseload
- Complete accurate and timely documentation
Communication and Scheduling:
- Maintain a functioning device for telehealth services
- Communicate cancellations to clients and management as early as possible
Professional Conduct and Compliance:
- Maintain required licensure and liability insurance
- Immediately notify management of any reports made to licensing boards
Supervision (if applicable):
- Attend scheduled supervision sessions
- KTT-paid supervision applies only to work conducted at KTT
Start Date:
Tentative start date is June 1, 2026. Earlier start dates may be available.
